What Are AirPerks Missions? Survey Bonus Goals Explained

A Mission in AirPerks is a recurring survey-count goal we launch every few days. Hit the target — for example, "Complete 10 surveys, earn an additional $2.50" — and the bonus lands in your balance, on top of what each survey already paid. It's the simplest of the loyalty layers, and the most consistent source of "found money" in the app.
What a Mission looks like
A typical Mission card shows:
- The bonus amount (e.g., $2.50).
- The survey-count target (e.g., 10).
- A progress bar so you can see how close you are.
- A deadline — usually a few days from when the Mission opens.
Inside the app it's called a "Sprint Mission" or "Bonus Mission". In writing here on the blog we just call it a Mission.

How participation works
There's nothing to install, opt in to, or claim ahead of time. While a Mission is active, every qualifying survey you complete tracks automatically. When you hit the target, the bonus drops into your in-app balance.
You don't lose anything if you don't finish — you just don't earn the bonus. The surveys still pay what they would have paid anyway.
Cadence — how often Missions show up
Missions launch on a recurring rhythm, typically every few days. There isn't always a Mission running, and they don't overlap as a rule — one at a time. The Missions surface in the app shows whichever one is currently active.
If you don't see a Mission today, check back in a day or two. Some users build a small habit around it: when a new Mission opens, knock out the surveys over the next couple of evenings.
What the reward looks like
Targets and bonuses vary. Some examples you might see:
- 3 surveys → $0.50
- 10 surveys → $2.50
- 20 surveys → $5.00
The exact pairing depends on the Mission. Bigger goals come with bigger bonuses; smaller goals are good if you only have a short window. Some active users have earned the equivalent of entire gift cards from Mission bonuses alone over time.
Why Missions are pure upside
The bonus is paid on top of every qualifying survey's normal earnings — not in place of them. So a Mission doesn't change what each survey pays; it adds a layer on top.
Compare two scenarios:
- Without Mission: 10 surveys × $0.50 average = $5.00.
- With Mission ($2.50 for 10 surveys): same 10 surveys, same $5.00, plus the $2.50 bonus = $7.50.
That's 50% more for doing the exact same work — assuming the Mission was running when you did the surveys. The math is why we say Missions are always worth doing. The only reason to skip one is if you weren't going to open the app at all during the window.
What Missions are NOT
Three things they get confused with — they're separate features:
- Not partner-game tasks. Those are Rewarded Gaming — different feature, different mechanics. Install a game, hit in-game milestones, earn payouts. Lives on the Offers tab.
- Not brand sign-ups. Those are Rewarded Offers — free trials, subscriptions, app installs from third parties. Also on the Offers tab.
- Not Streaks. Streaks reward 7 consecutive surveys with a random bonus between €0.15 and €10. Missions reward a survey-count goal with a fixed announced bonus.
Missions stack with everything else
Missions sit on the same survey activity that earns you XP, Streak points, and Fragments. That means a single qualifying survey can contribute to all of:
- Its own payout
- Mission progress (if a Mission is active)
- Streak progress (one point toward your 7-streak)
- Fragment progress (one Fragment if you're Level 6+)
- Bonus Day +10% (if today is your chosen day and you're Level 11+)
- XP toward your next Level
All of those run at once. That's how the AirPerks layers stack, and Missions are the most predictable layer because the reward and the goal are both announced up front.
Practical tips
- Open the Mission card before you start a session. It tells you the target, the bonus, and the deadline so you can decide whether to push for completion or just take the surveys you'd take anyway.
- The bonus tracks all qualifying completes, not just ones you do after seeing the card. Even surveys you completed earlier in the active window count.
- If a Mission deadline is close and you're a few surveys away, it's usually worth a 20-minute push — the bonus per survey at that point can rival the survey payouts themselves.
The next Mission opens on the same rhythm regardless of whether you finished the previous one, so don't sweat a miss. Just be there for the next one.
Missions are live from day one, so the fastest way to feel the bonus is to do a handful of surveys with one open. Start in the AirPerks web app or download AirPerks for iOS or Android — there's almost always a Mission running right now.
